Body, Description and/or Summary Text

Where possible - make sure - the first 3-5 words of the BODY text of - every - document, blog, article, and webpage you create, including any associated Description and/or Summary text, from this point forward contains the keyword phrase associated with the URL of the content you are trying to drive high in Google.

Why is this so important? Because it is common this wording ends up as the descriptive text appearing below the actual hyperlinked webpage title the search engine result returns

As the picture below illustrate, approximately the first 150 characters appearing in the body (or associated Description and/or Summary) of every document, blog, article, and webpage you create and publish on the web, ends up as the descriptive text that appears in the HTML <meta name="description" > tag in the webpage's source code. You can typically right click on any webpage, and click on "View Source" to open up another window displaying the source code that is generating the associated webpage. Don't freak out. You don't need to know anything about HTML or any other kind of coding. We're just attempting to explain how this works.

This is the - exact - same principle that allows you to manipulate the descriptive text that appears below your Ecademy Profile hit in Google.(

Example Blogs published on Ecademy with the keyword phrase - Internet Presence - appearing in the first 150 characters of the text body of the blog:

  • Internet Presence - When And How To Start Building Yours
  • Internet Presence - Just Google me.
  • Internet Presence - "I am getting …BUSINESS emails!"
  • Internet Presence versus Internet Marketing - How Do They Relate?
  • Internet Presence: Network is a verb.
  • Internet Presence: Websites versus Blogs
  • Internet Presence
